Fairbridge a major youth charity and has six (6) sites around Western Australia all requiring caretakers.

Point Peron
Pinjarra
Pemberton
Kalgoorlie
Each site has its own unique features where we run adventure outdoor education programs to students and community groups.
We are currently looking for a caretaker at
Dampier.
Dampier is the gateway to the 42 Islands of theDampier Archipelagoin the Northwest of WA.
Blessed with beautiful beaches and warm, sunny weather, this outback coastal town is a mecca for outdoor water activities.
Swimming, sailing, boating, fishing, diving, snorkelling and wind surfing can be enjoyed here all year round.
Just 20km from Karratha, this pretty port town overlooking Hampton Harbour and the Dampier Archipelago.
The role
Ideally, we are looking for a couple or who are active, friendly with a 'can do' attitude', and can be the face of Fairbridge to the guests staying at the site.
You'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of our accommodation camp, ensuring it remains clean, welcoming and well organised.
All sites are unique but share the same elevated level of customer service expectation.
Previous experience in accommodation management, hospitality, tourism, housekeeping, catering, administration, property maintenance or customer service would be highly regarded.
While each site is slightly different in its requirements as caretaker the duties at Dampier include
Experienced cook to follow and execute supplied recipes to large groups with an emphasis on bulk cooking breakfast, lunches and dinners.




Ordering food stock, consumables and cleaning supplies from our Perth based suppliers with accurate planning,
Managing kitchen stock and inventory
Maintaining high standards of food safety, handling, hygiene minimising food wastage.
Occasionally provide an out of hours welcome and site inductions to groups
Point of contact to answer visitor queries
Simple Maintenance (depending on the skill set of the caretakers)
Cleaning the site, taking pride in providing a high level of cleanliness
Point of contact for out of hours maintenance contractor
Looking after the site's facilities
Work as part of a team with other caretakers, the Grounds and Maintenance Coordinator and maintenance team.
Receive after hours deliveries.
To be onsite during weekends, outside normal office hours all year round, this includes Christmas and other school holiday periods.
Fire warden
Out of hours point of conduct when security alarms are triggered.
