This apprenticeship is a chance to learn from experienced tradespeople, work with real equipment, and develop the practical skills that can set you up for a long-term career in fitting and machining.
About the opportunity
This fixed-term apprenticeship runs for up to four years and is designed to support you as you learn fitting, machining, measuring, assembly and general engineering workshop practices.
By the end of the apprenticeship, you will have the opportunity to become a qualified Fitter Machinist and build a strong foundation for a career in precision engineering and manufacturing.
You'll gain exposure to CNC machining, manual lathes, milling machines, grinders, hand and power tools, fabrication support and workshop processes while learning how to work safely, accurately and efficiently in a modern engineering environment.

Who we're looking for
We're looking for enthusiastic, reliable and safety-minded applicants with mechanical aptitude, initiative and a genuine interest in learning a fitting and machining trade.
You'll enjoy practical hands-on work, be comfortable working as part of a team, and be willing to learn from experienced tradespeople in a busy workshop setting.
Completion of Year 12 is required, and applicants currently studying or interested in a Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade will be highly regarded.
