Cafe Assistant – Make Every Cup Count!
Serve with heart.
Bring warmth and connection to our residents and visitors.
This is a casual role based in Newmarch House, Kingswood and you should be able to commit to a Mon-Fri 4 hours /day
In this rewarding role, you will:
Prepare and serve food and beverages (including coffee and tea) with warmth and professionalism.
Ensure the cafe is well-stocked, clean, and inviting for residents and guests.
Handle cash and EFTPOS payments accurately and maintain daily records.
Monitor cafe operations in line with Anglicare's Food Safety Program.
Provide friendly, attentive service that reflects our Vision, Mission, Values, and Rhythm of Life philosophy.
Assist in the kitchen and dining areas as needed, contributing to the wider hospitality team.
Support continuous improvement by providing feedback and ideas to the Servery Supervisor.
What you'll bring
Experience in a cafe or hospitality setting (aged care experience desirable).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine care for people.
Sound organisational skills and attention to detail.
Confidence in handling payments and maintaining financial accuracy.
Barista competency using a commercial coffee machine (assessment required prior to start).
A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to support the team wherever needed.
