Come and join us in building the infrastructure our planet needs to achieve a sustainable future.Job DescriptionThe Malabar System Alliance Project is seeking an experienced and proactive Planner to join the project team based in Parramatta.
This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules to ensure the successful delivery of project objectives, milestones, and operational requirements.Working closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and key stakeholders, the Planner will play a critical role in coordinating project activities, managing scheduling risks, and providing accurate reporting to support decision-making across the project lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain detailed project schedules and work programs.Coordinate planning activities across multiple project teams and workstreams.Track project progress against approved baselines, milestones, and deliverables.Identify schedule risks, constraints, and potential delays, and recommend mitigation strategies.Support resource planning, including labour, subcontractors, equipment, and materials.Produce look-ahead schedules and short- and long-term planning reports.Monitor project performance and provide accurate forecasts for project completion.Facilitate planning and coordination meetings with internal and external stakeholders.Ensure schedule updates are completed accurately and in a timely manner.Analyse project data and performance trends to identify opportunities for improvement.Support project controls,



reporting requirements, and change management processes.Maintain planning documentation in accordance with project and Alliance requirements.Promote and maintain a strong commitment to safety, quality, and environmental standards.Required Skills and CompetenciesEssentialDemonstrated experience in a Planning or Project Scheduling role within infrastructure, utilities, engineering, construction, or maintenance environments.Strong understanding of project planning principles and scheduling methodologies.Experience using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Excellent organisation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a quick-paced project environment.DesirableExperience working within Alliance or major infrastructure project delivery models.Knowledge of water, utilities, transport, or civil infrastructure projects.Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or a related discipline.Key CompetenciesPlanning and scheduling expertiseAttention to detailCritical thinking and analysisStrong communication skillsCollaborative approach to stakeholder engagementRisk identification and mitigationResults-oriented mindsetAbility to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary teamACCIONA has been given the Top Employer ****, ****, **** & **** certification in Australia, which certifies the company's commitment to excellence in human resources management and those who focus on putting their people first through their exceptional HR policies.
