About the Role
Myndshift Group is seeking an experienced Leading Hand HD Mechanic to join a well-established heavy equipment services provider based in Redcliffe, WA.
This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for supporting the daily coordination of workshop activities while continuing to complete servicing, diagnostics and repairs across heavy mobile equipment.
Working Monday to Friday from 6:00am to 6:00pm, this opportunity offers strong, consistent hours while allowing you to remain Perth-based and home every night.
Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day guidance and support to HD Mechanics
Assist with allocating work and coordinating workshop priorities
Complete servicing, repairs, diagnostics and preventative maintenance
Monitor job progress and support the timely completion of work
Provide technical assistance during complex repairs and fault-finding
Ensure maintenance activities meet safety and quality requirements
Review completed work and maintenance documentation




Communicate effectively with management, team members and stakeholders
Promote a positive and safety-focused workshop culture
About You
To be considered, you will ideally have:
Australian-recognised Heavy Diesel or Mobile Plant trade qualification
Demonstrated experience as a Leading Hand or senior HD Mechanic
Solid technical, diagnostic and fault-finding capabilities
Experience maintaining heavy mobile equipment
The ability to coordinate workloads and support a mechanical team
Strong communication and organisational skills
Current Australian driver's licence
A strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
Full Australian working rights
Experience within the mining, civil construction or heavy equipment industries will be highly regarded.
