MacKellar is growing its operations in partnership with Aeris Resources and is seeking experienced Diesel Fitters to join our maintenance team at a mining project near Nyngan, NSW.
This is an opportunity to join a well-established mining contractor at the early stages of a long-term operation, working on a modern fleet alongside an experienced maintenance team focused on safety, reliability and production performance.
With a 7/7 rotating day and night roster, $80/hr + super, permanent employment, camp accommodation and meals provided, this role offers the stability of a long-term mining project with a genuine work-life balance.

The Role
As a Diesel Fitter, you will play a key role in maintaining the reliability and availability of a large fleet of heavy mining equipment.
Working as part of a collaborative maintenance team, you will be responsible for scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently.
Your responsibilities will include:
Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on heavy mining equipment




Diagnosing mechanical faults and completing effective repairs
Carrying out inspections and identifying potential issues before they impact production
Completing maintenance records, service reports and other required documentation
Following site safety procedures and maintaining high standards of workmanship
Working closely with operators and other trades to maximise equipment availability
Supporting a strong safety and reliability-focused maintenance culture
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A recognised trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent
Experience maintaining heavy earthmoving, mining, civil or construction equipment
Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
A commitment to safety and quality workmanship
The ability to work a 7/7 rotating day and night roster
A current Australian Driver's Licence
Previous mining experience will be highly regarded
