This is a senior role for an experienced dermal clinician.
We are an established skin clinic in Perth's southern suburbs looking for an experienced Dermal Clinician who can assess skin and who has a track record of doing exactly that.
If you can look at a face, identify what is actually going on, explain it clearly, and build a plan that gets there, keep reading. If you are early in your career and looking for a clinic to develop you, this is not the role.
What we actually need
A clinician who owns the assessment. That means:
Structured, repeatable skin assessment — Fitzpatrick typing, photographic analysis, and accurate identification of pigmentation, vascular, acne, scarring, barrier and ageing concerns
The clinical reasoning to know which modality is right, in what order and at what interval and when the answer is "not yet" or "not at all"
Confident contraindication screening and device parameter selection based on the skin in front of you, not a fixed protocol card
Genuine cosmeceutical knowledge — actives, ingredient interactions, percentages, layering, and how home care determines whether in-clinic work actually holds
Transparent communication that sets realistic expectations without overpromising
Treatments you will be performing
Laser and IPL across multiple platforms
RF and RF microneedling
Skin needling
Chemical peels, superficial through to medium depth
Medical-grade facials and advanced skin treatments
LED, dermaplaning and extractions
Skincare prescribing and ongoing regimen management
Your responsibilities
Comprehensive skin consultations and detailed skin analysis
Staged, personalised treatment plans with defined review points
Safe and confident delivery of advanced skin, laser and energy-based treatments
Informed consent, clinical photography, accurate treatment notes and record keeping
Skincare prescribing as an integrated part of the plan, not an afterthought
Reviewing outcomes and adapting plans where clinically indicated




Laser safety compliance, device maintenance and treatment room standards
Setting and lifting the clinical standard across the team — assessment process, protocols and documentation
Working alongside our nursing team and referring appropriately
What you will bring
Minimum 2 years hands-on experience as a Dermal Clinician or Dermal Therapist
Bachelor of Health Science (Dermal Therapy / Dermal Science) or Diploma-level equivalent
Current Laser Safety Certificate — essential
Demonstrated laser and IPL experience across more than one device platform
Strong cosmeceutical and ingredient knowledge, and a history of prescribing skincare that clients actually stay on
Transferable skills — you can pick up an unfamiliar device quickly because you understand the underlying science, not just the button sequence
Accurate, disciplined clinical documentation
The ability to work independently and hold your own standard without supervision
Experience in a medical aesthetics or cosmetic clinic environment is highly regarded

$38 – $48 per hour, based on experience and demonstrated capability — above market for Perth south
Part-time to start, with genuine capacity to grow into more days and a lead clinical role
