What does the job look like?
We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Workshop Support Operator to join our Fleet Maintenance team in Laverton.
This hands-on role combines truck washing, vehicle movements and workshop support duties.
Working closely with our maintenance team, you'll help ensure our fleet is presented to the highest standard while assisting tradespeople with general workshop tasks and housekeeping activities.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working around heavy vehicles, takes pride in their work and wants to build a long-term career within the transport and logistics industry.
Key responsibilities include: Promote and maintain a robust safety culture at all times Operate the automatic truck wash facility Wash and detail trucks, trailers and fleet equipment to a high standard Move vehicles around the workshop and yard as required Assist mechanics and tradespeople with general Trade Assistant duties Support workshop housekeeping and maintain a clean and organised work environment Manage daily wash schedules and fleet presentation requirements Conduct basic workshop and yard maintenance tasks Work collaboratively with the wider Fleet Maintenance team Are you the one?
We're looking for someone who is reliable, safety-focused and enjoys working in a practical workshop environment.
To be successful you will have: A current HC or MC licence (mandatory) Previous truck wash, vehicle detailing, yard hand or Trade Assistant experience highly regarded Experience working around heavy vehicles or transport equipment A strong commitment to safety and safe work practices The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities A positive attitude and willingness to learn Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining fleet presentation Availability to work a day shift roster of 6:00am to 2:30pm , with overtime opportunities available What's in it for me?
