INTEC Energy Solutions has established a dedicated Civils Division to deliver high-quality, large-scale civil infrastructure projects across Australia and New Zealand. Backed by INTEC's global renewable energy expertise, our team is building capability across site preparation, bulk earthworks, drainage, access roads, foundations and high-voltage substation civil works.
With the division now established, we are recruiting experienced professionals to help shape our success from the ground up and support the delivery of major renewable energy and infrastructure projects.
About the Role
As Site Engineer - Project Controls, you will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of major civil construction works through effective planning, progress tracking, productivity monitoring and project controls.
Based on the project site, you will work closely with the management and project teams to ensure actual site performance is accurately captured and translated into meaningful programme, productivity and cost information.
This is a highly site-focused role for an engineer who understands how civil construction is delivered in practice and can turn information from the field into clear, actionable project controls data.
You will help identify emerging constraints, productivity issues and programme risks early, supporting the team to make informed decisions and maintain project performance.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor project performance against programme, budget and production targets, providing accurate progress, productivity, resource and cost information.
Support weekly and short-term planning, progress measurement, look-ahead schedules and planned-versus-actual tracking with construction teams.
Track labour, plant, equipment and subcontractor productivity, identifying trends, constraints and opportunities for improvement.
Support cost allocation, cost analysis,

forecasting and the assessment of time, resource and cost impacts associated with changes and variations.
Identify and document delays, disruptions and constraints, supporting delay analysis, mitigation and recovery planning.
Work closely with supervisors, survey, engineering, commercial, subcontractors and client representatives to resolve issues and maintain delivery readiness.
About You
Civil Engineering degree with 3-7 years' site or project engineering experience within major civil construction, infrastructure, earthworks or renewable energy.
Strong practical understanding of civil construction and site delivery, with experience in planning, progress tracking, productivity and resource management.
Experience supporting project controls, cost allocation, cost analysis, programme risk or delay analysis.
Strong Microsoft Excel, reporting, analytical and stakeholder management skills, with experience using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
A proactive, commercially aware and delivery-focused engineer who is comfortable working directly with construction teams in a rapid-paced site environment.
A Construction White Card and current Driver's Licence are required.
Experience in utility-scale solar, BESS or renewable energy projects will be highly regarded.
Why Join Us?
Play a key role in establishing and growing a new civil delivery capability within a global renewable energy business.
Work on a major renewable energy project where your project controls expertise will directly influence programme, productivity and commercial performance.
Join a team-oriented, delivery-focused team with strong opportunities to develop your career across civil infrastructure and renewable energy.
