Branch Leader – The Pines Branch
Based at:
The Pines Branch
Role focus:
Small team leadership, customer service and branch operations
Best suited to:
An experienced frontline banker or customer advisor ready to step into leadership
Hands-on role:
Includes counter and transactional support when required
Regional Australia Bank and Summerland Bank have recently come together, bringing two customer-owned banks with strong regional and community connections into one organisation. At The Pines, where many customers know and value the Summerland name, this role is about continuing that local, relationship-based service while being part of a growing regional mutual bank.
We're now looking for a Branch Leader to join our small team at The Pines.
This role would suit someone ready to take the next step in their banking career. You'll guide and support the team, while also staying actively involved in customer service, branch operations and counter support when needed.
About the Role
As Branch Leader at The Pines, you'll help keep the branch running smoothly day to day by supporting customers, guiding the team and ensuring operational requirements are met.
This is a practical, hands-on role. You'll work closely with the Regional Manager and be comfortable moving between team support, customer conversations, staffing coordination, counter support and everyday branch priorities.
Support and coach a small branch team in their day-to-day work.
Assist customers with enquiries, transactions and service needs.
Provide counter support and help manage customer flow when required.
Coordinate staffing, leave and daily branch activity.
Support sound operational, risk and compliance practices.

Encourage needs-based conversations, referrals and positive customer outcomes.
About You
This role may suit someone who is already in a team leader role, or an experienced customer advisor who is ready to take the next step. You'll be confident supporting customers with everyday banking needs, comfortable following procedures and interested in helping others learn and grow. A strong customer-first mindset, good communication skills and a practical, hands-on approach will be important in this small branch environment. ASIC Tier II accreditation is required, or you'll need to be willing to obtain this after commencement.
Why Join Us?
Regional Australia Bank offers supportive teams, meaningful customer relationships and the opportunity to grow your career in a regional mutual bank.
We offer:
A small, community-focused branch workplace.
Support from the Regional Manager and broader branch network.
Training and development to support your growth.
Additional leave benefits, including birthday leave.
Paid parental leave for eligible employees.
Wellbeing initiatives and employee support programs.
Most importantly, you'll join an organisation where relationships matter, communities come first, and great customer service is at the heart of what we do.
If you're looking for an opportunity to step into branch leadership while continuing to work closely with customers and your team, we'd love to hear from you. Apply via Regional Australia Bank's careers page. .
