As the Portfolio Management Specialist, you'll guide the performance and strategic direction of Vero's SME portfolio—a key part of our Commercial Insurance offering. You'll work within a team-oriented team focused on sustainable growth, broker enablement, and platform innovation. This role offers the opportunity to shape portfolio outcomes through data driven insights and strategic execution, with clear pathways for career progression.
What You'll Do
Analyse portfolio performance using internal and external data sources (Tableau dashboards, COGNOS and industry reports) to uncover actionable insights
Develop and drive clear proposals for portfolio improvements, including tactical and strategic pricing changes
Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Pricing, Underwriting, Claims, Distribution, Finance, Actuarial) to align initiatives with business strategy
Engage with external stakeholders such as distribution to enhance platform performance and broker connectivity
Deliver and monitor initiatives that drive profitability, ensuring benefits are realised and sustained
Create compelling data stories to communicate complex analytics to non-technical audiences
Maintain awareness of claim trends and risk profiles to inform portfolio decisions




Contribute to performance meetings with insights and updates on portfolio initiatives.
What You'll Bring
Minimum 5+ years' experience in General Insurance, preferably with an actuarial and/or analytics background
Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Analytics, or Actuarial Science (desirable)
Strong analytical skills and ability to derive actionable insights from data
Proficiency in Tableau, COGNOS, and other business intelligence tools
Excellent communication and data storytelling capabilities
Commercial acumen and stakeholder engagement skills
Curiosity and a mindset for continuous improvement and innovation
Familiarity with emerging AI technologies in insurance.
