About the role
We are seeking experienced
Chefs/Cooks
to join our team at THE QUARTERS in Esperance, WA. This is a
casual position
offering up to full time hours between September **** to April ****. The Quarters is Esperance's number 1 location for fine dining, producing some of the best dishes in Australia at our fine restaurant. Applicants must be available as of September.
There are no sponsorships available for this role. Please do not apply if you are seeking a sponsorship.
What you'll be doing
Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes according to established recipes and quality standards
Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations
Managing food stocks and assisting with inventory control
Collaborating with kitchen team members to ensure efficient service during peak times
Following food presentation standards and plating requirements
Responding to customer feedback and making adjustments to dishes as needed
Assisting with menu preparation and food costing where required
Maintaining personal hygiene and wearing appropriate kitchen uniforms
What we're looking for
Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a hospitality or food service environment
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen safety practices
Ability to work efficiently under pressure, particularly during busy service periods




Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high food quality standards
Flexibility and adaptability to casual work arrangements and varying shifts
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Current or willingness to obtain a Food Handling Certificate or equivalent food safety qualification
Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications (advantageous)
