Coastal Flora is seeking an experienced
Wholesale and Retail Floral Manager
to join our team on a
full time basis
at our location in Meridan Plains, QLD ****. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the management of both our wholesale and retail floral operations, ensuring seamless coordination between these two distinct business streams. You will be responsible for driving sales, maintaining product quality, managing staff, and enhancing customer satisfaction across both channels. This position is integral to our business operations and offers the opportunity to shape the strategic direction of our floral services.
What you'll be doing
Overseeing daily operations of both wholesale and retail floral departments, ensuring efficiency and profitability
Managing inventory levels, including sourcing, ordering and stock rotation of fresh flowers, plants and floral supplies
Developing and implementing sales strategies to increase revenue in both wholesale and retail channels
Building and maintaining relationships with wholesale clients, florists and corporate accounts
Training, supervising and motivating retail and warehouse staff to deliver exceptional customer service
Creating eye-catching floral displays and arrangements that appeal to retail customers
Ensuring compliance with health, safety and hygiene standards within the floral workspace
Monitoring financial performance, managing budgets and controlling costs across operations
Managing customer enquiries and resolving issues promptly and professionally
Staying current with floral trends, seasonal variations and market demands
Collaborating with other departments to ensure coordinated business growth
What we're looking for
Proven experience in floral retail management or wholesale flower distribution, ideally 3+ years in a similar role
Strong knowledge of floristry, including flower types, care requirements, arrangement techniques and seasonal availability
Demonstrated ability to manage both wholesale and retail operations simultaneously




Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
Strong sales and customer service acumen with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets
Sound financial management skills and the ability to analyse performance metrics
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Physical capability to handle flowers, plants and related materials regularly
A valid driver's license and willingness to travel for wholesale deliveries if required
Preferred: Formal floristry qualifications or relevant horticultural training
