Strike Energy is seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced Electrical and Mechanical tradespeople interested in joining the future Operations & Maintenance team at the South Erregulla Peaking Power Plant (SEPP).
As SEPP progresses towards commissioning and operations, we are excited to begin building a highly capable team to support the safe, reliable and effective operation of this important energy asset. This is a unique opportunity to join a new power station at the beginning of its operational journey and play a key role in establishing the culture, standards and performance of the facility.
We are particularly keen to hear from local candidates residing in Dongara, Geraldton and the wider Mid West region, who are looking to be part of a significant energy project close to home.
About the Opportunity
We are seeking experienced:
Power Station Maintainers / Operators - Electrical
Power Station Maintainers / Operators - Mechanical
As part of a multi-skilled operations team, successful candidates will be responsible for both maintenance and operational activities across the power station. The role will involve undertaking preventative and corrective maintenance, supporting operational readiness, and assisting with plant operations and control room activities to ensure the facility operates safely and efficiently.
While operational arrangements are still being finalised, the roster is currently anticipated to be 2 Weeks On / 2 Weeks Off.
Key Responsibilities
Operate,



monitor and maintain power station plant and equipment to support safe and reliable operations.
Perform preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance across electrical and mechanical systems.
Inspect, test, troubleshoot and rectify equipment faults and performance issues.
Support commissioning, start-up, shutdown and operational readiness activities.
Assist with control room operations, plant monitoring, alarm response and operational coordination.
Undertake isolations, permit-to-work activities and maintain accurate operational and maintenance records.
Qualifications & Experience
Electrical
Current WA Electrical Licence.
Experience in industrial electrical maintenance, utilities, power generation, mining, oil & gas or heavy industrial environments.
Experience with switchgear, motors, protection systems, instrumentation and control systems.
Mechanical
Relevant Mechanical Trade Qualification (Mechanical Fitter, Fitter & Turner, Diesel Mechanic or similar).
Experience maintaining rotating equipment, pumps, compressors, engines, valves and associated plant systems.
Highly Regarded
HV operational experience.
Previous power station operations and maintenance experience.
Gas-fired power generation experience or a Cert III in process plant operations
Control rooms system experience such as SCADA, PLC and DCS experience.




Commissioning, start-up or operational readiness experience.
