Western Australia Return Recycle Renew (WARRRL) is the Scheme Coordinator for
Containers for Change
, leading Western Australia's recycling revolution.
In just over five years, we have helped divert more than 5 billion containers from landfill, growing the container recovery rate from 33% to 66%, and supporting a diverse network of over 300 refund points.
These refund points create meaningful employment through commercial operators, social enterprises, and not-for-profit organisations across the state.
Now two years into our strategic plan, WARRRL is focussed on delivering the next phase of impact.

The Opportunity
Are you passionate about delivering best-practice procurement and creating value through strong governance, commercial thinking and trusted partnerships?
As our
Procurement Lead
, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening procurement capability across WARRRL.
Working closely with leaders and teams across the organisation, you will ensure goods and services are procured in a consistent, transparent and commercially responsible way.
You will lead the development and continuous improvement of WARRRL's procurement frameworks, policies and processes, providing practical advice that enables informed procurement decisions while ensuring governance, probity and compliance requirements are met.
From managing supplier and contract information to supporting sourcing activities, contract administration and supplier performance, you will help drive procurement excellence across the organisation.
This is an exciting opportunity for a procurement professional who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery and wants to make a meaningful contribution to an organisation creating positive environmental and social outcomes for Western Australia.
This is a full-time, 12 month fixed-term opportunity based in Subiaco.
About you




You are a collaborative procurement professional who combines strong commercial acumen with a practical, solutions-focused approach.
You enjoy building relationships, simplifying complex processes and helping others navigate procurement requirements with confidence.
With experience across procurement, supplier management and contract administration, you understand the importance of balancing value, risk, governance and operational needs.
You are highly organised, analytical and proactive, with the ability to identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen supplier performance and deliver better commercial outcomes.
You thrive in a collaborative environment, communicate confidently with stakeholders at all levels and take pride in maintaining high standards of integrity, transparency and accountability.
Key essential criteria
Experience in procurement, sourcing, contract management or a related commercial role.
Sound knowledge of procurement principles, governance, probity and supplier management practices.
Experience developing, implementing or maintaining procurement policies, processes and supporting documentation.
Solid commercial and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate supplier options, manage risk and achieve value-for-money outcomes.
Demonstrated experience managing supplier and contract information, including contract registers, renewals and performance monitoring.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with the ability to provide practical advice to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate records.
A continuous improvement mindset,



with experience identifying opportunities to simplify processes and improve procurement capability.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
A commitment to ethical procurement practices, governance, compliance and organisational integrity.
