About Optimise Online
We are a Perth-based digital marketing agency that has been building growth partnerships with established Australian businesses since ****.
Our model is built on one idea: great marketing only works when the foundation underneath it is solid.
We fix the foundation first — strategy, systems, and web — then build the marketing engine on top.
Our team is 100% in-house.
No outsourcing, no overseas contractors.
Every strategist, developer, designer, and specialist who works on a client account is employed by us and based in Perth.
We maintain a low client-to-strategist ratio, work in 90-day action blocks, and operate as an embedded part of every client's business.
Connections That Matter
We exist to optimise the customer experience — creating awareness, engagement, and connections that matter.
Every role in this business connects back to that purpose.
The role
This is not an account management role with a strategy title.
Our Digital Strategists are hands-on partners to a portfolio of clients — thinking strategically, working in the platforms, and owning the results.
You are the person each client trusts most.
You know their business, their goals, and their numbers.
You run their 90-day action blocks, chair their quarterly reviews, and are honest with them when something is not working.
You work across the full digital marketing mix: SEO, paid media, content, social, CRM, and web.
You are not expected to be a specialist in every area — that is what the delivery team is for.
But you need enough depth to brief specialists properly, quality-check their work, and have an intelligent conversation with a client about what it means and what comes next.

The salary range reflects experience level.
A strong mid-level strategist with three to five years of agency experience sits toward the middle.
A senior strategist with deep client management experience and the ability to lead complex, multi-channel accounts sits toward the top.
Gradutates / Junior Digital Strategists are welcome to apply.
What you will own
Client relationships
Own a portfolio of client accounts — typically 15 to 20, depending on package tier and complexity
Run the 90-day action block cycle: scope the objectives, brief the team, track delivery, and present results
Chair quarterly reviews with clients — honest, data-led, and focused on what comes next
Be the person clients call when something matters.
Respond quickly, communicate clearly, and never leave a client wondering what is happening
Strategy and planning
Build the Digital Roadmap for new clients — audit current state, identify gaps, and map a prioritised plan of attack
Develop 90-day action plans that are tied to each client's annual business goals, not just digital activity
Stay across performance data across all channels and surface insights that drive decisions, not just reports that document activity
Identify upsell and expansion opportunities within your portfolio — not through pressure, but through genuine understanding of what the client needs next
Delivery and team collaboration
Brief developers, designers, content, paid media,

and systems specialists clearly — with enough context that they can do their best work
Quality-check deliverables before they go to clients.
You are the last set of eyes on anything that leaves the building under your client's name
Manage client work in Teamwork — tasks, timelines, and time tracking kept current at all times
What we are looking for
Agency experience:
You have worked in a digital marketing agency and managed client relationships.
You know what good service looks like and what it takes to deliver it.
Broad digital marketing knowledge:
SEO, paid media, content, social, and web.
You do not need to be a specialist in all of them, but you need to understand how they work together.
Clear written and verbal communication:
You write client-facing documents, chair meetings, and explain complex ideas in plain language.
This is non-negotiable.
Commercial instincts:
You understand that client retention is the business model.
Every interaction either builds or erodes the relationship.
Data literacy:
You can read a Google Analytics report, interpret paid media performance, and draw a meaningful conclusion from SEO data.
Self-management:
You manage your own time, your own portfolio, and your own standards.
You do not need to be chased.
How to apply
Submit your CV and a cover letter.
Tell us about a client you managed well, what the situation was, what you did, and what the outcome was.
That is the most practical thing you can show us to qualify for the next step.
The standard
Our clients stay because someone who understands their business deeply has been thinking about their growth every quarter.
That is what this role requires.
If you are someone who genuinely cares about the outcomes your clients achieve — not just the work you deliver — you will thrive here.
