Hero Tiling Pty Ltd is a Hobart-based tiling company specialising in high-quality commercial and residential wall and floor tiling services throughout Tasmania[cite: 1].
Due to continued business growth, we are seeking an experienced Wall and Floor Tiler to join our professional team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare wall and floor surfaces by removing old coverings, cleaning, levelling and waterproofing where required[cite: 1].
- Measure and mark surfaces and calculate material requirements[cite: 1].
- Cut, shape and lay ceramic, porcelain, stone, mosaic and other tiling materials[cite: 1].
- Apply adhesives, grout and sealants to achieve high-quality finishes[cite: 1].
- Install wall and floor tiles in bathrooms, kitchens, living areas, commercial premises and outdoor areas[cite: 1].
- Align and level tiles using appropriate tools and techniques[cite: 1].
- Repair and replace damaged tiles where required[cite: 1].
- Read and interpret plans, drawings and specifications[cite: 1].
- Ensure all work complies with Australian building standards and workplace health and safety requirements[cite: 1].
- Maintain tools, equipment and a clean work environment[cite: 1].
Essential Requirements:
- Relevant trade qualification (Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling or equivalent), or at least three years of relevant full time experience[cite: 1].
- Minimum two years' recent experience in commercial and/or residential tiling[cite: 1].
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications[cite: 1].
- High attention to detail and strong workmanship[cite: 1].
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team[cite: 1].
- Strong commitment to workplace safety[cite: 1].
- Current driver's licence preferred[cite: 1].
What We Offer:
