What's On
OfferThe City of Kwinana is looking for a
compassionate, community-minded Cultural Community Connector to
join our brand new Early Childhood Development team.
This isn't a desk job.
It's
about connecting with people where they are.
Listening to stories.
Breaking down barriers.
Helping multicultural families access the
services, support and opportunities that enable young children to
thrive.
Working alongside our Early
Childhood Development Partnership, you'll become a trusted
connector between families, community organisations, service
providers and government agencies.
You'll advocate for
multicultural families, provide culturally informed advice, and
ensure their lived experiences help shape the programs and services
delivered across our community.
What
You'll Be DoingIn this rewarding role
you'll:
Build
trusted relationships with multicultural families across the
Kwinana community.
Connect
parents and caregivers with health, wellbeing, early childhood
and community services.
Support
families to understand child development and access the right
assistance when needed.
Provide
cultural advice that helps make local services more inclusive,
welcoming and accessible.
Give
multicultural families meaningful opportunities to contribute
to the planning and design of community programs.
Work
collaboratively with government agencies, community
organisations and local service providers to improve outcomes
for young children and their families
What You'll




NeedTo make an impact in this role the successful
candidate will possess the following skills and
attributes:
Considerable experience
in community services program delivery, including planning,
organising and evaluating experiences for families and young
children.
Sound
experience working in the community/social services sector
and/or advocating for family support services across the social
services sector.
Demonstrated experience
in building trusted relationships and working effectively with
multicultural families and communities.
Sound
knowledge of the community services sector that enables the
ability to provide cultural advice and contribute to the
development of programs and services.
Well-developed
interpersonal, communication and engagement skills, with the
ability to build effective relationships and work
collaboratively with community service
stakeholders.
The
ability to obtain Working With Children's, Police Clearance and
holding of a current driver's licence.
A
relevant tertiary qualification will be highly
regarded.
