About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced
Trainer/Assessor
to join our team on a
casual basis
, servicing the
Central Coast, Lake Macquarie, and Hunter regions of New South Wales
.
In this role, you will deliver and assess training within the
Process Manufacturing and Supply Chain Operations
qualifications.
This is a pivotal role, responsible for delivering engaging, industry-relevant training and conducting assessments that equip participants with the knowledge, skills, and confidence required to succeed in the workplace.
Working on a flexible casual basis, you will have the opportunity to balance your existing commitments while contributing to the successful delivery of nationally recognised training programs.
You will work closely with learners, employers, and industry stakeholders to support positive learner outcomes and workforce development across the region.
Key responsibilities
Deliver engaging and interactive training sessions to groups and individuals, ensuring content is relevant, current,
and aligned with industry standards
Conduct fair, valid and reliable assessments of participant competency against established criteria and qualification requirements
Provide constructive feedback to participants, identifying areas of strength and development
Maintain detailed records of training delivery, assessment results, and participant progress
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency in training quality and assessment practices across programmes
Stay current with industry developments, regulatory changes, and best practice in training and assessment methodologies
Support the continuous improvement of training programmes based on participant feedback and assessment outcomes
Ensure a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment for all participants
What we're looking for
Hold a current
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE*****, TAE***** or equivalent)
, together with relevant vocational competency and current industry experience in
Process Manufacturing and/or Supply Chain Operations
.
Demonstrated experience delivering training and conducting assessments in a workplace or vocational education setting.
Strong subject matter expertise relevant to manufacturing,
supply chain operations, warehousing, transport, logistics, or a related industry sector.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards applicable to training and assessment.
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple training schedules and competing priorities.
A commitment to continuous professional development and maintaining industry currency.
Experience applying adult learning principles and learner-centred approaches to training delivery.
Desirable:
Experience within the manufacturing, transport, logistics, or warehousing sectors.
