First Line Engineering is seeking a reliable
Labourer/Trade Assistant
to join our growing team due to a strong pipeline of work across South East Queensland.

The Role
Working within our Yatala workshop, you will provide general support to our tradesmen and fabrication team to help keep the workshop organised and production moving efficiently.
Your duties will include:
• Sorting, organising and preparing steel and materials for fabrication.
• Material handling and moving steel throughout the workshop.
• Loading and unloading trucks and deliveries.
• Processing and preparing steel, including grinding, cleaning and surface preparation.
• Assisting tradesmen with fabrication and general workshop activities.
• Completing local pick-ups and deliveries as required.
• Organising materials, consumables and work areas.
• Using hand and power tools for general workshop tasks.
• Maintaining a clean, secure and productive workshop.




• General labouring and assisting with other tasks as required to support the fabrication team.
This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who is happy to get involved and help wherever required to keep the workshop running efficiently.
What We're Looking For
• Previous experience in a steel, fabrication, manufacturing or construction environment would be beneficial but is not essential.
• Current manual driver's licence.
• Forklift licence.
• MR licence.
• Comfortable using basic hand and power tools.
• Physically capable of undertaking general workshop and material handling duties.
• Reliable, punctual and motivated.
• Good initiative and willingness to learn.
• Able to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Commitment to workplace safety
