We specialise in labour hire, field service, diagnostics and component change-outs across the mining, exploration and construction sectors throughout WA.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking
experienced Exploration Drill Fitters
to join our FIFO team on a
2:2 roster
in Western Australia.
About the Role
Working a
2:2 FIFO roster with day shifts only
in Western Australia, you'll be part of a professional maintenance team responsible for keeping exploration drill rigs and associated equipment operating safely and reliably.

As an Exploration Drill Fitter with Cobalt Diesel Services, you'll play a key role in maintaining the reliability and performance of exploration drill rigs and associated equipment across goldfields operations.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Carrying out planned maintenance and routine servicing
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults
Responding to breakdowns in a safe and timely manner
Conducting inspections, servicing and repairs on exploration drill rigs and associated equipment.
Completing maintenance records in accordance with company procedures
Working closely with site personnel to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime.




Maintaining a strong commitment to safety, quality and housekeeping standards
Key Requirements
Australian-recognised Trade Qualification as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic or Mechanical Fitter
Previous experience maintaining exploration drill rigs within the mining or exploration industry
Strong mechanical, hydraulic and fault-finding skills
Experience carrying out planned maintenance, servicing and breakdown repairs
Current Australian Manual Driver's Licence (HR Licence highly regarded)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a FIFO environment
Solid commitment to safety and quality workmanship
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen
National Police Clearance (or willing to obtain)
Desirable Experience
Experience working on exploration drill rigs including UDR****, Hydco, Austex, Hanjin, Schramm or similar equipment will be highly regarded.
