Accounting Accountant - Cost Perth Contract or Temp Are you a commercially minded Cost Analyst looking for an opportunity to take ownership of product costing and work closely with FP A?
We are currently seeking a Cost Analyst to join a collaborative finance team, working closely with the FP A Manager to ensure accurate and robust costing across the business.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong analytical skills who enjoys working with detailed financial data, understanding cost drivers and improving costing processes.
You will play a key role in revamping the existing costing project , ensuring accurate and up-to-date costings across materials and individual SKUs.
The Role Working closely with the FP A Manager to support costing and commercial analysis across the business Creating, analysing and maintaining full bills of costings for individual materials and SKUs Reviewing existing product costings to ensure they are accurate, complete and up to date Taking ownership of the costing project, including reviewing and revamping current costing processes Analysing material, production and operational costs to understand key cost drivers Ensuring the correct costs are allocated to individual products and SKUs Investigating costing variances and identifying discrepancies or areas requiring review Supporting inventory costing,
stock valuations and reconciliations Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes alongside the FP A Manager Preparing financial and management reports to support business decision-making Identifying opportunities to improve costing accuracy, processes and reporting About You We are looking for a Cost Analyst who has: Previous experience in cost accounting, cost analysis, management accounting, FP A or a similar analytical finance role Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, discrepancies and cost drivers Solid Excel skills and confidence working with large and complex data sets Excellent attention to detail and accuracy The ability to work collaboratively with finance, operations and other stakeholders The confidence to challenge existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement What's on Offer?
