About the role This is a broad, hands-on technical leadership role with a strong commercial edge, sitting within the regional leadership team and reporting to a supportive and commercial astute General Manager.
You will own the technical agenda and current product development, testing, compliance and field support for the APAC region.
You manage range reviews and bring fresh eyes to what is working, what needs to change and where the next one to three years of opportunity sits.

What you will do Lead regional product development from concept to launch,



giving you end-to-end ownership of bringing new products to the APAC market Own product testing, compliance and certification across the region, making you the technical authority the business relies on to bring products to market and confirm suitability of products and their relevant applications Provide expert field technical support on complex, high-value projects, putting you at the centre of large commercial opportunities Take ownership of technical documentation and the product guarantee process, allowing you to drive continuous improvement and reduce warranty costs Represent the business on industry standards committees and lead the regional sustainability program, raising your profile and influence across the sector Work hand in hand with the local marketing, sales, procurement and operations teams, to build a comprehensive product strategy that has agreement and execution across the organisation What you bring to this role Technical product management experience with a building products or construction materials manufacturer or distributor, ideally across multiple product categories (allied industries are also suitable) Engineering, marketing or technical qualifications, paired with the commercial acumen to size markets and judge product viability Ability to get up to speed quickly and build a working knowledge of APAC standards, codes and certifications A self-starting, resourceful problem solver who brings solutions, not problems, and connects easily with global teams Comfort with regular travel, international and local How to apply Saunders Lynn and Company is dedicated to servicing the needs of the interiors, architectural and construction products industry.
