In many cases, a bone marrow or stem cell transplant offers the best prospect of recovery.
Arrow exists to improve the quality of life for all people having a bone marrow or stem cell transplant.
They do this by providing financial assistance, information resources and emotional support to patients, their families and carers, supporting the educational and professional development needs of nurses and other health care professionals working in the transplant field, and by investing in medical research that improves bone marrow and stem cell transplant patient outcomes.
Impact you will have in this role As the Marketing and Communications Officer, you will be Arrow's marketing and communications all-rounder, taking ownership of activity across the organisation.
From developing creative and engaging content and managing social media to updating the website, delivering email communications, supporting fundraising campaigns, maintaining brand guidelines and reporting on performance, you will be the go-to person for all things marketing and communications.
Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a hands-on role where you will be trusted to manage your priorities, take ownership of your work and contribute ideas.
You will work closely with the Fundraising and Programs teams to develop engaging, timely communications that showcase Arrow's impact and support broader organisational, fundraising and program objectives.
This role will suit someone who enjoys variety and is comfortable switching between creative, strategic thinking and hands-on delivery.
We are seeking someone who is self-motivated, resourceful and proactive, with the confidence to work independently while also enjoying collaboration as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities Take ownership of day-to-day marketing and communications activity across Arrow, ensuring priorities and deliverables progress effectively Develop and implement marketing strategies and activities aligned with Arrow's organisational, fundraising, and program goals Manage Arrow's digital presence, including social media channels, website content, and digital assets Develop monthly social media content calendars and create, schedule, and manage engaging content across relevant platforms Coordinate and produce eDM's and donor and program communications using Mailchimp Plan and execute marketing campaigns that support fundraising activities, programs, and organisational initiatives Proactively identify storytelling opportunities and interview beneficiaries, supporters, and program participants to develop compelling impact stories Maintain accurate CRM records, mailing lists, and supporter information within Salesforce Work closely with the CEO, Fundraising Team, Programs Team, and Fundraising and Marketing Committee to plan and coordinate communications Monitor campaign performance, digital engagement, and key marketing metrics, providing regular reporting through the marketing dashboard Manage and coordinate relationships with digital agencies, service providers, suppliers, and other external partners Maintain consistent branding, messaging, and quality across Arrow's marketing and communications Proactively identify opportunities to improve marketing processes, communications, engagement, and campaign performance Skills and Experience Previous experience in a broad marketing, communications, or similar role Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, take ownership of priorities,
and deliver high-quality work A genuine marketing all-rounder who is equally comfortable planning activity and rolling up their sleeves to execute it Robust written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated storytelling and content creation capability Hands-on experience managing social media platforms, websites, and email marketing campaigns Proficiency with digital marketing tools and platforms, including Meta, Mailchimp, CMS, and WordPress Experience using CRM systems, with Salesforce experience highly regarded Strong planning, organisation, and project management skills, with the ability to confidently manage competing priorities and deadlines Analytical skills and experience monitoring and reporting on marketing and campaign performance Self-driven and comfortable working remotely without the need for close day-to-day direction Experience within the not-for-profit sector is highly regarded A genuine passion to make an impact in the lives of Australian's affected by bone marrow or stem cell transplants Applications Please apply by uploading your resume.
