Accounting Accounts Clerk Perth Contract or Temp Are you an experienced Assistant Accountant looking for a fantastic opportunity to broaden your accounting skills and gain exposure across multiple areas of finance?
We are currently seeking an Assistant Accountant to join a supportive finance team on a 12-month maternity leave cover contract .
This is a varied role offering exposure across accounts payable and receivable, payroll, reconciliations, month-end reporting and general accounting.
This chance would suit someone who enjoys a hands-on role, takes ownership of their work and is looking to further develop their accounting experience within a broad and varied position.
The Role Working alongside the Finance manager, you will be responsible for a broad range of accounting duties, including: Managing end to end Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable process Reconciling bank accounts, AP ledgers and intercompany balances Investigating and resolving supplier and customer account discrepancies Preparing and reviewing month-end journals, including accruals, depreciation and other adjustments Responding to payroll and payslip queries and investigating any discrepancies Processing employee updates through Employment Hero, including new starters,
terminations and salary changes Ensuring payroll, superannuation and tax requirements are accurately processed Completing monthly cash pool and foreign exchange reconciliations Assisting with month-end reporting and financial analysis Maintaining the company fixed asset register Assisting with quarterly BAS preparation and annual tax requirements Liaising with external accountants and auditors when required Assisting with transfer pricing and financial reporting requirements About You We are looking for someone with: Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar accounting role Strong understanding of payroll processes Experience across AP, AR and reconciliations Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy A proactive approach to problem solving The ability to communicate confidently with internal and external stakeholders What's on Offer Broad exposure across the finance functions Collaborative and supportive environment Varied role with the opportunity to take ownership of your work Hybrid flexible working arrangements Onsite parking Apply now or contact me for a confidential discussion about the opportunity.
