A major bank in Sydney is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer with strong hands on software development experience as well as ansible and python to join their team on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities: Design deploy, operate, and enhance the software platforms and automation systems that underpin modern network engineering.
Develop and maintain automation using Ansible and Python.
Work with Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) to deliver automation capabilities.
Transform complex network workflows into scalable, reliable internal tools and services that improve operational efficiency and resilience.
Collaborate closely with network engineers to understand challenges, develop innovative solutions, and continuously improve how large-scale networks are managed and automated.
This is a software-first role focused on building robust automation frameworks,



platforms, and testing capabilities that support day-to-day network operations.
Key Skills / Experience: Robust python and ansible experience Demonstrated hands-on software development experience Experience building applications in the networking domain is highly desirable Understanding of operating systems, Linux, and container platforms (Docker/Kubernetes).
