Job description HR / WHS Officer | Carole Park | Permanent Full-Time | Industrial Environment Are you an experienced WHS professional who enjoys the people side of a business just as much as safety and compliance?
AustCorp Executive has been retained by one of our key clients, an established industrial and manufacturing business in Carole Park to recruit a Workplace Health, Safety, Human Resources Officer .
This is a broad, hands-on position suited to someone who wants genuine ownership across WHS, HR, rehabilitation, environmental compliance and employee support rather than being confined to one area.
Working closely with the Managing Director, management team, supervisors and employees, you'll play an important role in keeping the business safe, compliant, well organised and a great place to work.
The Role You'll be the key point of support across workplace health and safety, HR and environmental compliance, with plenty of variety in your day.
Your responsibilities will include: Maintaining and improving WHS systems, policies and procedures SWMS, JSAs, risk assessments and safety documentation Workplace inspections, audits and hazard identification Incident and near-miss investigations Root cause analysis and corrective actions Rehabilitation, WorkCover and return-to-work coordination Recruitment, onboarding and offboarding Employee records and HR documentation Supporting performance and employee relations matters Employment contracts, policies and position descriptions Training, competency and licence management Environmental compliance and reporting Waste,



chemical and hazardous substance compliance Internal audits and compliance registers Toolbox talks, inductions and employee training Reporting and support to senior management This isn't a role where you'll spend every day behind a desk.
You'll be visible across the business, working with people at all levels and spending time within the workshop and operational environment to understand what's happening on the ground.
About You We're looking for someone who can confidently operate across both WHS and people-related functions .
You may currently be a: WHS HR Advisor HSEQ Advisor WHSE Advisor WHS Coordinator Safety HR Advisor People Safety Advisor WHS / Compliance Officer HSE Advisor Ideally, you'll bring experience from an industrial, manufacturing, fabrication, construction, engineering, mining services or similarly operational environment.
You'll have: Strong practical WHS knowledge Understanding of Queensland WHS legislation Experience maintaining WHS systems and documentation Incident investigation and corrective action experience Exposure to HR administration and employee lifecycle activities Confidence dealing with managers,



supervisors and employees Strong organisation and attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication Ability to manage competing priorities independently A practical, down-to-earth approach to safety and compliance Experience across environmental compliance, rehabilitation/return to work, WorkCover, training and competency management will be highly regarded.
Relevant qualifications across WHS, HR, environmental management or business are desirable; however, practical experience will also be strongly considered.
