We are seeking a dual-focused Safety Advisor / Leading Hand to join our client's growing multi-residential construction team in Brisbane.
This role will be based in Chermside.
You will split your time between driving workplace health and safety (WHS) initiatives on site and hands-on trade/leading hand duties.
Health Safety Duties: Conduct daily pre-starts, Tool Box Talks, and site safety inductions.
Review and approve Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and Job Safety Analyses (JSA) prior to works.
Conduct regular site hazard inspections and enforce strict PPE and compliance rules.
Manage site safety documentation and report any incidents or hazards to the Site Manager.
Leading Hand Duties: Supervise a small team of workers and subcontractors on a daily basis.
Coordinate daily work targets and ensure tasks are completed on schedule and to high-quality standards.
Perform physical, hands-on construction duties as required.




Act as the communication bridge between site management and the crew About You Valid White Card (General Construction Induction).
Relevant trade qualification or extensive in office experience in multi-residential building.
Cert IV in Work Health and Safety (WHS) or equivalent safety qualifications (preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate).
Proven experience in a Leading Hand or supervisory role.
Strong working knowledge of WHS legislation and practical hazard control.
Excellent communication skills to positively influence safety culture on site.
