About the team
Our Sydney Corporate practice is seeking an experienced SeniorAssociate to join its growing team.
Predominantly working with partners Dan Atkin andSimonLeslie you will join one of Australia's leading venture capitalpractices, advising founders, high-growth companies, investors andventure capital funds on transactions across the investmentlifecycle, from early-stage and growth capital raisings through tolater-stage investments, M&A; activity, global expansion andexits.

Square Peg
on its investment inAirwallex's US$300 million Series F financing.
Blackbird Ventures
on the sale ofEucalyptus to Hims & Hers, one of the most significant exits inAustralian venture capital history.
Checkbox AI
on its US$23 million Series Afinancing and cross-border US "flip-up" transaction.
Blackbird Ventures
as co‐lead investor inGilmour Space Technologies' AU$350 million Series Efinancing.
Bridgit

What does the role involve?
Our corporate partners work on a broad range of interesting andcomplex transactions.
We can offer you the opportunity to join ahigh-performing team, take genuine responsibility for matters andwork autonomously with the support of experienced partners.
On a day-to-day basis you will have the chance to:
advise founders, high-growth companies, investors andventure capital funds on M&A;, private equity, venturecapital and growth capital transactions




take a leading role on matters and work directly withclients
manage key transaction workstreams and help drive mattersthrough to completion
supervise and mentor junior lawyers
participate in business development and client relationshipactivities
work with lawyers across our global network, including oncross-border matters.
About you

You will bring:
5+ years' experience, with exposure to venture capital,private M&A; and/or private equity transactions
excellent technical abilities and strong problem-solvingskills
strong drafting and transaction management skills
a commercial, practical and proactive approach toadvice
confidence working directly with clients and managingclient relationships
the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively aspartof a team.
