HOBAN Recruitment is seeking an experienced and strategic Cultural Safety Learning professional to lead the design, implementation and evaluation of learning and workforce capability initiatives focused on improving outcomes for First Nations peoples.
This position can be located in ANY client location in Australia.
This is a unique opportunity to influence organisational capability, drive cultural safety practices, and work collaboratively with First Nations communities, leaders and stakeholders to deliver impactful learning solutions that support strategic government priorities.

About the Role As an EL1 Cultural Safety Learning Lead, you will provide strategic leadership across complex learning and capability development programs, ensuring culturally safe, evidence-based and outcomes-focused approaches are embedded into workforce development initiatives.
Key responsibilities include: Lead the design, development and implementation of cultural safety learning and capability programs.
Apply instructional design methodologies, including the ADDIE model, to create high-quality learning solutions.
Build and maintain trusted partnerships with First Nations peoples, communities, organisations and leaders.
Drive co-design, consultation and stakeholder engagement activities across diverse internal and external groups.
Provide strategic advice, high-level briefings, reports and recommendations to senior executives.
Monitor program performance, risks, governance requirements and reporting obligations.
Lead and mentor team members while fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.




Champion organisational change and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen cultural safety outcomes.

About You To be successful in this role, you will bring: Demonstrated experience leading complex learning, training and workplace capability development programs.




Strong project and program management skills with the ability to deliver outcomes within competing priorities.
Proven experience working in partnership with First Nations peoples, communities and organisations.
Advanced instructional design capability and expertise in adult learning principles.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, assess policy impacts and provide evidence-based recommendations.
Experience managing stakeholders across complex and sensitive environments.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including briefing and report writing.
Strong leadership capability with experience managing teams, resources and strategic outcomes.
Ability to identify, manage and mitigate strategic and operational risks.
Experience driving organisational change and influencing senior stakeholders.
Highly Desirable Experience working with First Nations communities, organisations and/or service delivery environments.
Qualifications in education, training, human resources or a related discipline.
Experience designing and delivering training programs in First Nations policy or service delivery settings.
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE***** or equivalent).
Experience working within Commonwealth Government agencies or Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations.
Tertiary qualifications in public policy, social sciences, Indigenous studies, law or a related field.
