But we only succeed with the combined vitality and strength of our people who we truly value and support in their pursuit of individual and shared goals.Position: Associate Manager, Demand PlanningApplications accepted from 22 July ****, closing on 25 August ****Reporting to the Manager, Supply Chain Operations, the Associate Manager, Demand Planning is critical in developing the demand forecast using data such as sales inputs on promotions and distribution, shipment history, competitive activities and marketing plans.This position is a key driver in creating and managing the true consumer demand signals by which to align the rest of the supply chain and company goals.This role will also be the conduit between the commercial teams and all of supply chain planning.You'll be charged with making decisions that impact the demand plan and communicating those decisions to key management stakeholders.
You are a well-rounded individual who encompasses analytical, communication and leadership skills; who quickly identifies deviations from expected results and other disruptions and are able to promptly resolve issues.Key Responsibilities:Use and maintain current demand planning systems to create the best forecast possible using established processes.




Utilise the statistical feed in the system from the demand support hubCollect and analyse past/future demand inputs (such as distribution gains/losses, price changes, new/discontinued products and promotion plans) from sales and marketing and calculate their impacts on demandMake recommendations to enhance business processes, and identify opportunities to improve operational efficienciesWork with various cross functional partners on projects such as new product launches, discontinuations, and transitions to evaluate assumptions– new product forecast, and pipeline fillCollaborate with Marketing, Customer Marketing, and Finance for advertising and promotional activitiesEnsure demand forecast is shared in level of detail and timing required by internal customers and supply chain partners with documented assumptionsInfluence and collaborate with key partners in marketing, sales and finance to address input gaps as identified by forecast error/bias review & root cause analysisMeasure, analyse, and communicate key process metrics and monitor adherence to key performance indicators, while driving continuous improvementSkills & ExperienceDegree qualified, preferably economics, supply chain management,



engineering or related business fieldSolid senior level Demand Planning experience within ANZ FMCG / Consumer Goods IndustryA strong understanding of all elements of the Supply Chain functionDemonstrated results working in a team-based, cross functional environment, with in depth understanding of SOP processesKnowledge of the NZ market highly desirableHands-on experience in demand planning and simulation systems or tools (SAP APO DP, Demantra or equivalent)Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in PC-based applications (such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, Word and/or Access)Benefits & Culture:SC Johnson is committed to providing a Great Place to Work for all its employees.
