Assistant OSHC Director
Permanent | 30 hours per week (Term Time + School Holidays)
Blackfriars Priory School is seeking a dedicated and experienced OSHC Senior Educator to join our Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) team.
This is a permanent part-time position supporting the delivery of a high quality, engaging and compliant care program for primary-aged children.
Working closely with the OSHC Director, the Assistant OSHC Director plays a key leadership role in the daily operations of the service, including supporting staff, overseeing program delivery and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Hours of Work
Term time
: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 9:30am and 2:00pm – 6:00pm
School holidays
: Flexible shifts across 30 hours per week
Please note:
This role requires a commitment to working Monday to Friday and the completion of an ACECQA-approved Diploma or higher qualification recognised for South Australian OSHC services.

About the Role
Under the direction of the OSHC Director, the Assistant OSHC Director supports the coordination of OSHC and Vacation Care programs and may act as the
Responsible Person in charge
where required.
Key Responsibilities
Support the OSHC Director in the day-to-day operation and leadership of the OSHC and Vacation Care service
Act in the Coordinator role where required, including oversight of service delivery and compliance
Coordinate and guide educators in the planning, implementation and evaluation of developmentally appropriate programs
Oversee program quality to ensure alignment with the National Quality Framework and Standards
Support inclusion by planning for and facilitating programs for children with additional and diverse needs
Assist with staff rostering to meet required educator-to-child ratios
Undertake administrative functions including record keeping, family communication and reporting
Contribute to financial and operational processes,



including fee administration and compliance checks
Lead and support work health and safety practices, risk management and safe environments for children and staff
Support staff capability through mentoring, induction and professional development
Build robust relationships with children, families and the school community
Essential Qualifications and Requirements
ACECQA-approved
Diploma or higher qualification
recognised as a First Qualified Educator for South Australian OSHC services
Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
RRHAN-EC certification
Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training
About You
You will bring:
Experience working in an OSHC or Vacation Care setting, with demonstrated leadership capability
Strong communication and interpersonal skills when working with children, families and staff
Sound organisational, administrative and problem-solving skills
The ability to lead calmly and effectively, including in dynamic or high-pressure situations
