Who are KRSPKimberley Regional Service Providers Pty Ltd (KRSP) delivers essential services, capital works, and municipal services to Indigenous communities across Western Australia's remote Kimberley region.KRSP manages and maintains power, water, and wastewater infrastructure across remote communities, while also delivering critical maintenance and capital works that support the ongoing reliability of essential services and improve the quality of life of the communities we serve.Operating from our Broome headquarters, with workshops in Broome and Perth, KRSP has built a robust reputation for dependability, high-quality workmanship, and professional service.About the roleWe're looking for a fully qualified, skilled and driven Electrician with proven experience in an industrial setting to become a part of our team.This role will undertake electrical installation, testing and commissioning tasks within our Perth workshop on projects working across power generation assets.
The focus will be on construction of containerized standalone power system (SPS) control rooms and the installation works associated with new solar/diesel power station construction contracts to be delivered in remote areas of the Kimberley region.This is a fantastic chance to join a committed team and make a real difference to the daily lives of the communities KRSP serves.Key responsibilities of the role:Provide wide range of electrical trade services for capital works projectsRead and interpret single line diagrams (SLDs)Interpret wiring diagrams and schematic diagrams for control circuitsReview general arrangement (GA) drawings for equipment and cable layoutsTranslate drawing details into practical installation requirementsInstall electrical systems, switchboards, distribution boards, control panels, lightning protection, surgeprotection, and earthing systems.Install, terminate and test cables and wiringMark‐up or red‐line changes during installation for as‐constructed recordsAssist with inspection and test records, commissioning sheets, and compliance formsLocation and RosterThis position predominately works at our Perth workshop located in Forrestdale, and may on occasion include work within remote Kimberley communities to assist with commissioning.This is a permanent Monday to Friday Perth-based role.What you will needYou must demonstrate strong work ethic, integrity, safe work practices, a positive attitude and can adapt to different situations as they arise.Essential criteria:Grade A Western Australian Electrical LicenceProven experience in an industrial settingSignificant experience in installation and wiringAbility to interpret electrical power and control drawingsCurrent and valid C class driver's licenceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work both independently and collaboratively within a small teamDesirable criteria:First Aid certification, including CPR and LVR
