Our busy workshops handle structural steelwork, platework, equipment fabrication, machining and repair servicing.About the RoleReporting to the Operations Manager, you'll oversee day-to-day welding operations across the workshop, ensuring all work is completed safely, to specification, and to the highest quality standard.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise day-to-day welding operations to ensure compliance with approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)Ensure correct welding parameters, techniques, and sequences are followedEnsure proper use of preheat, inter-pass temperature control,



and heat inputVerify that only qualified welders are assigned to welding tasksMonitor welder performance and identify poor performance trendsControl the issue and distribution of welding consumablesWhat You'll BringProven experience in a supervisory role within fabrication/engineeringSolid welding experience with sound knowledge of welding standardsAbility to work autonomouslyCurrent WorkSafe-approved forklift licenceHigh level of commitment and reliabilityCommitment to general upkeep of machinery and workshopThe following qualifications would be highly desirable: AS **** Cert 10, AS **** Cert 10, or IWS (International Welding Specialist).
