Lead one of Una's newest services and help shape its next chapter.
Una Highfields is a newly established, purpose-built 105-place Early Learning and Kindergarten service, opened in early ****.
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Centre Director with strong operational and educational leadership skills to lead our Highfields team, build capability, drive performance and continue developing a strong culture of quality, accountability and child-centred practice.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a growing service where you can genuinely influence the team culture, educational direction and operational success of the centre.

About the Role
As Centre Director, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and day-to-day operations of Una Highfields.
You will lead your team to deliver exceptional outcomes for children and families while ensuring robust performance across quality, compliance, occupancy, staffing,



financial management and team engagement.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead the daily operations and overall performance of the service
· Build a positive, accountable and high-performing team culture
· Coach, mentor and develop educators and emerging leaders
· Provide strong leadership around curriculum, pedagogy and educational practice
· Partner with the Educational Leader to strengthen programming, critical reflection and intentional teaching
· Drive team engagement, performance and retention
· Manage rosters and staffing in line with occupancy, ratios and operational requirements
· Support occupancy growth, enquiries and enrolments
· Maintain strong financial and operational oversight
· Ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework, National Law and Regulations
· Drive continuous improvement across the service
· Build strong relationships with children, families and the Highfields community
· Embed Una's philosophy, values and child safe culture in everyday practice
About You
You are an experienced early childhood leader who can balance the operational requirements of running a large service with a genuine passion for quality early childhood education.
You will bring:
· Diploma or Bachelor qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care
· Proven experience as a Centre Director, Centre Manager or experienced Assistant Director
· Strong operational capability across rostering, staffing,



occupancy and financial performance
· Strong knowledge of curriculum, pedagogy and educational leadership
· Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop educators
· Strong understanding of the NQF, NQS, National Law and Regulations
· Confidence managing compliance and regulatory requirements
· Strong communication and relationship-building skills
· Ability to lead performance conversations and build accountability
· A proactive, organised and solutions-focused leadership style

Essential Requirements
· Current Queensland Blue Card
· Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification
· Current Child Protection training
· Knowledge of protected sleep and rest practices
· Food handling certification
· Diploma or Bachelor qualification recognised for Early Childhood Education and Care
