With a solid project pipeline and continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to join the team and take ownership of project delivery from commencement through to completion.
This is a key leadership role offering the prospect to work alongside a committed team, build strong client relationships and contribute to the ongoing success of a respected local contractor.Your new roleYour new role Reporting to the Managing Director and working alongside the current Project Manager, you will oversee the successful delivery of multiple projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.You will be responsible for:Managing all aspects of project delivery from award to handoverMonitoring project budgets, profitability, forecasting and cost control measuresReviewing and managing project variations, progress claims and contract administration requirementsCoordinating subcontractors, suppliers, site teams and key project stakeholdersManaging construction programmes and ensuring project milestones are achievedConducting risk assessments and proactively addressing project challengesLeading project meetings and maintaining clear communication with clients and consultantsEnsuring compliance with contractual obligations,
industry regulations and company standardsSupporting project administrators, site teams and apprentices to achieve successful project outcomesDriving continuous improvement initiatives across project delivery and operational performanceWhat you'll need to succeedTo be successful in this role, you will possess:Extensive experience in construction project management, ideally within plumbing, hydraulics, services or commercial constructionDiploma in Building and Construction, Project Management, Business or a related disciplineStrong knowledge of construction contracts, subcontract agreements and contract administration processesProven experience managing project costs, programmes, variations and commercial outcomesExcellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skillsStrong organisational skills with a high attention to detailThe ability to build positive working relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal teamsAdvanced computer skills including Microsoft Office and relevant job management systemsExperience using Simpro is an advantageCurrent White Card and driving licenceWhat you'll get in returnAttractive salary package commensurate with experienceOpportunity to join a stable and growing Tasmanian businessDiverse range of commercial and construction projectsSupportive leadership team and collaborative workplace cultureLong term career progression opportunitiesAutonomy to manage projects and influence project outcomesA company committed to quality, safety and continuous improvement
