It brings together the housing and homelessness functions of the Department of Communities and Justice, the NSW Land and Housing Corporation, Aboriginal Housing Office and key worker housing functions from across government all under one roof.Homes NSW leads work to deliver more social and affordable housing, end the cycle of homelessness, and deliver quality public housing to our 262,000 tenants across NSW.Your new roleAs a Project Engineer, you will support the delivery of complex engineering upgrade projects across a diverse residential asset portfolio.
Working closely with senior engineers and project teams, you will contribute technical expertise, coordinate project activities and help ensure upgrades are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.Key responsibilities include:Providing technical engineering advice (civil, structural or hydraulics) on recent and existing assetsManaging engineering elements of upgrade projects from concept through to completionReviewing designs, reports and specifications, and providing recommendationsCoordinating consultants,



contractors and internal stakeholders across projectsIdentifying project risks and implementing mitigation strategiesSupporting inspection programmes and professional services deliveryTracking project progress, reporting on performance and maintaining accurate recordsContributing to continuous improvement by sharing best practice and lessons learntWhat you'll need to succeedQualifications in Civil or Structural EngineeringDemonstrated experience working within a residential property or asset environmentStrong project management capability across complex engineering worksAbility to analyse technical issues and provide practical, evidence-based solutionsExcellent communication skills with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholdersExperience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teamsSound understanding of risk management, compliance and engineering standardsStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing prioritiesWhat you will get in returnIn return, you will join a supportive and collaborative team environment within a large organisation delivering meaningful projects that impact communities.
