Your new company Our client is a leading civil infrastructure contractor delivering road construction, maintenance, and asphalt projects throughout Queensland.
With a strong pipeline of ongoing work and a commitment to safety and quality, they are seeking an experienced Leading Hand to join their team and oversee multiple crews across active project sites.Your current role As a Leading Hand, you will be responsible for supervising a crew of approximately ***** personnel while coordinating daily activities across road construction and asphalt projects.
You will provide leadership on-site, ensure work is completed safely and efficiently, liaise with subcontractors, manage traffic control operations, and support project supervisors with the successful delivery of works.
This role will involve both local and away work, with projects requiring employees to work away for up to two weeks at a time.Travel time is paid from the moment you leave Mackay, with transport provided in a company vehicle from depot to depot.
A daily Living Away From Home Allowance (LAHA) is paid while working away, with accommodation provided.What you'll need to succeedCurrent White CardPrevious experience as a Leading Hand within civil construction,
