Working closely with contractors, design and delivery teams, you'll be positioned at the interface between design and construction to solve complex engineering challenges.
Successful candidates will provide structural design, staged analysis services across major transport, energy and industrial infrastructure projects, with opportunities to support or incorporate construction engineering and construction phase activities where appropriate.
Projects span major rail, road, tunnel, energy and industrial developments, providing opportunities to work alongside leading contractors on some of Australia's most complex infrastructure projects.Detailed structural design of innovative temporary works and associated impacts on permanent worksDetailed structural design of innovative temporary works and associated impacts on permanent worksDetailed structural design and documentation of infrastructure permanent works along with identification of and consideration of relevant temporary works from tender phase through to construction phaseClient liaison, in conjunction with Project Directors and Associates, regarding current and future projectsActive involvement in all your projects, including project resource management, in conjunction with the Project DirectorsProactively collaborating with team members, contributors, and stakeholders to maintain quality, timeliness, and co-ordination of project deliverablesAbout YouRelevant Engineering qualifications – with a focus in Structural Engineering4+ years' Structural engineering industry experienceExperience in the design and delivery of transport, energy, industrial or civil infrastructure projects will be highly regardedExperience in the delivery of temporary works design is preferred but not requiredStrong understanding of Australian codes and standardsStrong communication skills, both written and verbalExperience in the delivery of detailed engineering drawings corresponding with level of dutiesSolid grounding in steel and concrete designExcellent organisational and time management skillsDemonstrated design experience using relevant Structural softwarePossesses project management and hands-on experience, encompassing administrative, commercial and technical aspectsSubmit technical reports of a standard requiring minimal correction; and provide final review of reportsAble to work on own initiative and in a team environmentFull working rightsA genuine interest in construction methodology, staged analysis and the delivery of complex engineering projectsRobert Bird Group is a global consulting engineering firm committed to delivering each client's vision through the relentless pursuit of engineering excellence across all projects.
