Only Australia Citizens may applyA prominent Victorian state transport agency.Your new roleYou will provide Level 2/3 application support and high-quality customer service for queries, incidents, service requests and application management.ResponsibilitiesManage incident tickets triaged from the Service Desk, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication with end users.Manage and resolve incidents related to AWS infrastructure and Tomcat application stack.Collaborate with DevOps and Cloud teams to ensure optimal deployment and configuration of Tomcat applications on Linux-based EC2 instances.Monitor and troubleshoot application performance and availability issues in Tomcat environments hosted on AWS.Configure and maintain alerting thresholds to detect performance degradation proactively.Provide Level 2 support for AWS-based applications running in Apache Tomcat on Linux OS.What you'll need to succeedDemonstrated experience in an Application Support, Middleware Support, Production Support, or Platform Support role.Strong hands-on experience supporting and troubleshooting IBM MQ, including queue management, messaging issues,



and incident resolution.Proven experience administering and supporting Apache Tomcat environments, including deployment, configuration, monitoring, and performance tuning.Solid understanding of Java Virtual Machine (JVM) architecture, log analysis, memory management, and performance troubleshooting.Experience supporting applications hosted on AWS EC2 and related AWS services, with knowledge of Linux-based environments.Working knowledge of SQL and DB2 databases, including query analysis, data validation, and troubleshooting database-related issues.Robust experience investigating production incidents, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing permanent solutions to improve system stability.Ability to troubleshoot issues across application, middleware, infrastructure, and database layers.What you'll get in returnWorking in an organisation where they develop and grow careers.Flexible working arrangements, including 2-3 day per week in the office.
