We are looking for an experienced Category Manager to take ownership of our Canine & Feline Food category for a 12 Month fixed term contract, commencing mid-August.About the RoleAs Category Manager, you will be responsible for driving category performance, delivering customer-focused ranges, and creating compelling promotional strategies that set Petstock apart.What your day will look likeDevelop and execute annual category strategies aligned to business goalsNegotiate innovative and commercially compelling promotions with suppliersLead range reviews and pricing strategies in line with the review calendarSource and select products aligned to company vision and merchandising plansBuild strong supplier partnerships to achieve mutual growth outcomesDeliver the Category Business Plan to meet budgeted KPIsOversee product setup and ongoing maintenance in systemsCoordinate category communications across stores and operational teamsAbout YouYou are a confident and commercially minded Category Manager who brings both strategic thinking and execution excellence.You will bring:Proven experience in a Category Manager or Buyer roleStrong understanding of retail metrics and commercial driversDemonstrated success in supplier negotiation and relationship managementExperience across category management, product development or importingAbility to influence and engage multiple stakeholdersAdvanced skills in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)A collaborative approach with robust relationship-building skillsA genuine passion for pets and the pet industryWhy Join Petstock?
