ABC Heavy Engineering is a locally owned and operated engineering company, heavily focused on Health, Safety, The Environment and Quality.
We specialize in the manufacturing, repair and maintenance of heavy equipment in the Mining, Civil ports and Agricultural sectors, both in the workshop located in Mackay and in office across multiple Bowen Basin Mine Sites.
Summary:
We are currently seeking experienced personnel for ongoing
adhoc maintenance, shutdown and service work
across site based mobile maintenance and field maintenance work.
Work is available immediately for Mechanical Fitters and Trade Assistants, with excellent hourly rate on offer.
Positions we are seeking:
· Mechanical Fitters
· Diesel Fitters
· Boilermakers
· Trade Assistants
Scope of Work:
· Breakdown and service work
· Field based maintenance and project support
· Backfill for shift and leave coverage
These roles are suited to reliable, safety focused tradespeople who are available for short notice mobilization and flexible work schedules
Requirements
· Trade qualified (if applicable)
· Demonstrated mining equipment repair experience highly regarded with a minimum of 3 years onsite experience




· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
· Ability to work autonomously and in a team
· Safety first mindset
To be successful in these roles, candidates must hold or be prepared to obtain:
· Current Coal Board Medical
· Standard 11
