About the role
Bibra Lake Medical Centre is seeking an experienced
General Practitioner
to join our dedicated healthcare team on a Full time or part time
contract basis
.
This is an excellent opportunity to provide comprehensive primary care services to our diverse patient population in Bibra Lake, WA ****.
As a GP, you will be at the forefront of patient care, managing a wide range of acute and chronic conditions whilst building meaningful relationships with patients and their families of a well known retiring GP.
This role is pivotal to our mission of delivering high-quality, accessible healthcare to the local community.
Key responsibilities
Conducting thorough consultations and clinical assessments for patients presenting with acute and chronic health conditions
Diagnosing illnesses and formulating appropriate treatment plans based on current clinical evidence and best practice guidelines
Performing minor procedures and examinations as required within general practice settings
Prescribing medications and providing patients with explicit advice on medication management and potential side effects
Managing chronic disease conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma and cardiovascular disease
Conducting preventative health screenings and health promotion activities to support patient wellbeing
Maintaining accurate and timely medical records in accordance with professional standards and legal requirements
Liaising with specialists, allied health professionals and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated patient care
Providing follow-up care and monitoring of patient progress to ensure optimal health outcomes
Contributing to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures within the practice




What we're looking for
A current General Practitioner registration with the Australian Medical Board
Qualification in Medicine with relevant postgraduate training in General Practice or equivalent experience
A minimum of 2–3 years' experience practising as a GP, preferably in an Australian primary care setting
Strong clinical knowledge and the ability to manage a broad range of presentations typical of general practice
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds
Proficiency in using medical practice management software and electronic health records systems
A commitment to continuing professional development and staying current with clinical guidelines and evidence-based medicine
The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Strong organisational skills and the capacity to manage time effectively in a busy practice environment
A professional approach to patient confidentiality and duty of care
