Software Assurance, Audit or Verification SpecialistYour current role: An experienced Software Assurance, Audit or Verification Specialist to join a leading consultancy in supporting a Federal Government Agency in delivering independent assurance services for the EasyCount - Senate application.
This unique engagement will focus on validating the software that performs the distribution of preferences during Australian Senate elections.
Working alongside technical and business stakeholders, you will review legislative requirements, assess software implementation, develop testing methodologies and provide independent certification of the system's accuracy and compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesReviewing and analysing legislative requirements governing Senate vote countingAssessing business rules and software implementation against legislationReviewing source code and technical documentationDesigning test strategies,



test scripts and test datasetsExecuting software assurance and validation activitiesConducting risk assessments and identifying key issuesProducing draft and final assurance reportsWorking closely with technical and business stakeholdersSupporting assurance activities associated with future legislative or system changesWhat you'll need to succeedDemonstrated experience in software assurance, software audit, IV&V; or verification activitiesStrong software testing and quality assurance capabilityExperience validating complex algorithms or business rulesAbility to review and interpret technical documentation and source codeStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent stakeholder engagement and report-writing abilitiesBaseline Security Clearance (minimum)Experience within Government, Electoral, Regulatory, Defence or highly governed environments will be highly regardedWhat you'll get in returnLong-term contract through to December ****Hybrid working arrangementsCanberra-based engagementOpportunity to contribute to a nationally significant electoral capabilityPotential extension options available
