Job Description

Are you a procurement professional who enjoys building strong stakeholder relationships, delivering compliant sourcing outcomes and driving continuous improvement?
As our Contract Officer, you'll play a key role in supporting Business Units across the organisation to procure goods and services in accordance with legislative requirements, procurement best practice and the City's policies and procedures.
You'll provide expert advice throughout the procurement lifecycle, manage contract administration activities and coordinate sourcing processes that deliver value-for-money outcomes for the community.
Working closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers and contractors, you'll help strengthen procurement capability, mitigate risk and ensure transparency, accountability and probity in procurement activities across the City.
What You'll Be Doing
Partner with Business Units to provide procurement advice, support and guidance across sourcing and contract activitiesCoordinate and administer non-complex tenders, quotations and market engagement activitiesManage contract renewals, extensions, variations and Deeds of NovationTrack contract expiry dates and facilitate renewal and extension processesPrepare procurement and contract documentation, correspondence and reportsSupport tender evaluations,



consensus meetings and recommendation reportsConduct due diligence and coordinate compliance checks of supplier submissionsMaintain tender and contract registers and ensure accurate record keepingProvide training and support to staff using procurement systems and processesAssist with procurement reporting, performance monitoring and risk management activitiesContribute to process improvement initiatives that strengthen procurement governance and efficiency

What You'll Bring
We're Looking For a Procurement Professional Who Is Customer-focused, Detail-oriented And Passionate About Delivering Compliant And Effective Procurement Outcomes.
You'll Ideally Bring:
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, preferably Purchasing or Procurement, or equivalent procurement experienceExperience in procurement practices and sourcing processesExperience preparing sourcing and tender documentation within a compliance-driven environmentExperience using electronic sourcing systems and procurement technologiesKnowledge of competitive sourcing and procurement best practicesStrong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong analytical, organisational and problem-solving capabilitiesIntermediate Microsoft Office skills and experience with document management systemsKnowledge of local government procurement,



contract administration and Australian Standards will be highly regarded
