Your new companyWe are currently partnering with a global leader in energy management and automation to recruit a Tendering Engineer to join their expanding Global Services team.
This is an initial 6-month contract, with strong potential for extension, and is based in Melbourne with adaptable hybrid working arrangements.Reporting to a global leadership team, this role will see you take ownership of end-to-end tendering and quotation preparation across a diverse portfolio of exciting projects.
This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to mission-critical projects within the electrical distribution space, supporting a rapidly growing customer base, while playing a key role in the ongoing energy transition.Your new roleYou will be responsible for:Review customer RFQs, specifications and tender documentation for field service activitiesIdentify cost-effective, technically compliant solutions to meet client requirementsCollaborate with both local and international stakeholders on bid developmentEngage with customers to leverage technical expertise and shape optimal solutionsPrepare tender submissions including technical compliance, risk assessments and approvalsDevelop detailed costings and ensure margin targets are achievedProduce quotations within agreed timeframes,



defining clear technical solutions and mitigating risksSupport ongoing business growth initiatives aligned with company strategyManage handover of successful tenders to project execution teamsParticipate in occasional domestic travel as requiredWhat you'll need to succeedTertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering (Degree or Diploma)Demonstrated experience in tendering, bid preparation and quotation developmentStrong ability to interpret technical specifications, contract terms and commercial requirementsExperience across LV and MV electrical distribution systems, ideally including installation and testingExposure to protection relays, switchgears, transformers, protection relays etc.Familiarity with major OEM products and service offerings within the electrical space is advantageous.Strong stakeholder engagement skills with a collaborative approachWhat you'll get in returnOpportunity to join a globally recognised organisation at the forefront of the energy transitionFlexible hybrid working environmentExposure to complex, high-value projects across a growing market segmentPotential for contract extension based on performance and project pipeline
