We are searching for an outstanding Electrical Fitter to support mission critical communications systems at the Harold E Holt Naval Communication Station.
The precinct is vital to our nation's defence and includes the Space Surveillance Telescope and C-Band Radar, part of a worldwide network of telescopes and radars that detect, track, identify and catalogue man-made objects in space.

Key Responsibilities




Adhere to safety requirements and develop job safety analyses for specific tasks.Perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.Liaise with shift employees to co-ordinate downtime preventive / corrective maintenance activities.Follow the Lockout / Tag Out process when required.Plan and record work tasks in the asset / maintenance management system.Provide technical advice as required.Provide on-the-job training for other staff.Manage stores and order equipment, parts, and items.
Skills, Experience And Qualifications
Certificate III in Electrotechnology – Electrician, minimum of four years of post-trade experience.Electrical License issued by the Electrical Licensing Board.HV License"C" class driver's license.Candidates must be eligible to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance.
Eligibility can be found at with ability to satisfy ITAR material access compliance.Please note, this is not a FIFO role.
Applicants must be based in Exmouth or willing to relocate.
