About the Role
As Food Hub Coordinator, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the Davoren Park Food Hub, creating a safe, organised and respectful environment for customers, staff and volunteers.
Our Food Hubs are designed to feel like a general store, giving people the opportunity to choose the food and household items they need with dignity.
This is a rewarding role for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a busy environment, and is motivated by community impact.
You will balance customer service, team coordination, stock management and administration, while playing an important part in helping people access food relief.
In this role you will:
Provide warm, respectful and responsive customer service, with sensitivity to social, cultural and individual needs
Lead, induct, train and support a team of staff and volunteers
Manage inventory, including pricing, stock control, ordering and stocktakes
Maintain a Food Hub that is safe, well organised, welcoming and well presented
Complete daily administration accurately and efficiently
Lead a positive team culture focused on service, dignity and community support.
About Us
Foodbank SA & NT is South Australia and Northern Territories largest food relief organisation.
We are a not-for-profit and non-denominational community-based organisation established in SA in ****.
Our vision is to end hunger in South Australia and the Northern Territory.
Our mission is to get the most good food, to the most people, in the most productive way possible.
Foodbank SA & NT has 13 Food Hubs and provides food relief to over 150,000 people every month.
One third of these are children.
We source food from wholesalers, manufacturers, supermarkets and growers, saving more than 2.5 million kilograms of food from landfill each year.
In the last 12 months, we have sourced enough food to put more than 10 million meals on the table of those doing it tough in our community.
About You
You are an organised, compassionate and practical leader who enjoys working with people.
You communicate clearly, manage your time well, and can keep operations running smoothly while supporting a diverse team and customer base.
Most importantly,
you are committed to community service and understand the importance of treating every person with respect and dignity.
Previous experience in a similar role, such as retail, community services, warehousing, logistics, customer service or volunteer coordination, will be highly regarded.
Essential requirements:
National Police Clearance
Current First Aid Certificate
Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
A genuine commitment to supporting people in need.
