About The Role
We're looking for an experienced Design Manager to lead the design journey from tender through to practical completion.
Working alongside project teams, clients, consultants and stakeholders, you'll drive innovative, practical and buildable design solutions that deliver exceptional project outcomes.
This is a hands-on role where you'll have the opportunity to influence major projects, collaborate with talented professionals and help shape the built environment across a diverse range of sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate the design process from tender to practical completionManage consultants and design teams to achieve project objectivesDrive value engineering and buildability outcomes that enhance project performanceEnsure designs meet client requirements, budgets, program milestones and compliance obligationsCoordinate design reviews, approvals and stakeholder engagementIdentify and manage design risks while proactively resolving project challengesProvide technical leadership and support throughout procurement and construction phasesFoster strong relationships with clients, consultants,



authorities and internal teams
About You
You are a proactive and cooperative Design Manager who enjoys solving problems, building relationships and delivering quality outcomes.
To be successful, you'll have:
Qualifications in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or a related disciplineProven experience managing design on commercial construction projects (Healthcare highly desirable)Strong stakeholder management and communication skillsExperience leading multidisciplinary consultant teamsSound knowledge of construction methodologies, design coordination and project deliveryStrong understanding of the NCC, Australian Standards and statutory requirementsExperience delivering projects with Green Star and/or NABERS accreditation requirements will be highly regarded
