Adelaide Festival Centre operates four major venues in the
Adelaide CBD - Festival Theatre, Dunstan Playhouse, Space Theatre
and Her Majesty's Theatre
About the vacancy
The Facilities team is responsible for delivering maintenance,
cleaning, security and minor works activities across the Adelaide
Festival Centre, Her Majesty's Theatre, and associated assets and
tenancies.
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Facilities Contracts
Manager will provide support across facilities operations, lead and
coordinate procurement and contract management activities, manage
AFCT tenancies, assist with asset management requirements and
contribute to the development and implementation of relevant
policies and procedures.
To be successful in this role, candidates will have
demonstrated experience in managing complex and strategic projects,
balancing varying levels of scope and risk, managing diverse
stakeholder considerations, and ensuring successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Effectively manage scheduled and ad hoc procurements in
accordance with State Government of South Australia and
Adelaide Festival Centre policies, procedures and
guidelines
Management of contractual arrangements under the Across
Government Facilities Management Arrangements.
Manage major contract procurements and achieve intended
procurement outcomes on time and within budget
Consult with stakeholders to determine procurement briefs,
provide indicative budget estimates and prepare submissions for
approval
Provide accurate and timely advice to Adelaide Festival
Centre management and staff on facilities contract requirements
and processes
Develop, monitor and report on asset performance under
contract as required
Assume responsibility for developing, implementing and
monitoring service level agreements with key contract providers
and ensure KPls are monitored, achieved and reported
Work with Adelaide Festival Centre departments as required
to ensure the decommission of legacy capital items and systems,
and effective implementation of procurement and contract
management of new systems and/or equipment as required
Liaise with existing and potential tenants on lease
conditions, obligations and compliance.

as required
Skills and Experience
Proven ability to establish and maintain networks, consult,
liaise, influence and negotiate with stakeholders and manage
conflict with patience and diplomacy
Proven ability to effectively motivate and train staff to
achieve high quality performance along with possessing proven
interpersonal skills which foster trust and cooperation
Proven ability to exercise effective management over a wide
range of projects including the control over budgets and
ensuring that projects are completed within scheduled time
frames
Demonstrated ability to work under broad direction, to set
and achieve goals, manage time, tasks and risk, meet deadlines
and manage heavy workloads
Demonstrated ability to think strategically, conceptually
and creatively and analyse and resolve complex business
problems, at both a strategic and operational level
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, concisely and
effectively, both verbally and in writing with people at all
levels
Relevant qualifiction or commensurate experience in
Procurement/Contract Management or other relevant
discipline
